Sr. and Lenore Marie (Rodgers) Coats. Hugh married Margaret “Marnie” Knight June 9, 1944 in Wheaton, Illinois. Surviving are a son, David Coats of Plymouth, Minnesota; three daughters, Ann (Rob) Canfield of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, Lee (Dick) Minors of Wayzata, Minnesota and Jan Etters of Vail, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Alice A. Cope (Peterman), 77, was born May 14, 1932 at the home of her parents Arthur Peterman and Lydia Peterman (Wellesley). On December 22, 1952 she married Jetre W, Cope (Jet). In addition to her husband she is survived by three brothers, Lyle Peterman (Tendercare Nursing Home of Cheboygan), Cecil Peterman of Onaway and Clifton Peterman (Pauline) of Onaway and a sister-in-law, Eliza Jane Peterman (Faircloth) of Onaway. She also is survived by two sons, Rocco Cope (Becky) of Onaway and Jesse Cope (Mary) of Muskegon; and a daughter, Desarae Earn (Gregg) of Alanson. Surviving grandchildren number 15 plus Sidney Cottle. She also is survived by a chosen daughter, Elizabeth Heeke (now Stanton). Alice also is survived by 13 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Ralph L. “Pete” Dashner, 84, of Rogers Township passed away June 6, 2009 at Northern Michigan Hospital. He was born September 13, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ralph and Catherine (Redel) Dashner.
Ralph served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War as a lieutenant. He retired from the automotive department with United Technologies. Mr. Dashner enjoyed the outdoors and his lifelong love of fishing.
He will be missed by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte; his friend and son, Bill; and many other friends and fishing buddies.

Cliff is survived by his wife, Florence of Black Lake; three sons, Bruce (Karen) Roberts of Monument, Colorado, Paul Roberts of Alpena and Dale (Jeanine) Roberts of Temperance; a daughter, Ann (Dan) Glawe of Alpena; three stepchildren, Dave (Linda) Webster of Black Lake, Steven Webster of Cheboygan and Diane (Tom) Thompson of Elk Rapids; a brother, Arden (Jean) Roberts of Warren; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Crossroads New Life Fellowship Church, Evanston Monday June 29.
A memorial service will be conducted in Michigan at a later date.

In addition to his wife of 59 years, Wesley is survived by his children, Mark Grant of Rogers City, Terry (David) Ringe of Georgia, Paul Grant of Harbor Springs, Alice (Gene) Meldrum of North Muskegon and Ruth (David) Monte of Crested Butte, Colorado; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Donald (Meldonna) Grant of Carleton.

Surviving are a son, Kurt Wissusik and his wife Maureen of Brighton; a daughter, Rita Schmult Quaderer and her husband John Quaderer of Owosso; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A brother-in-law, Richard Wissusik, of Orlando, Florida also survives her.
