Advance
The new Advance building stands at the corner of Third and Erie Streets in Rogers City, on the site of the historic Advance building, which was destroyed by fire in February, 2006.

State Sen. Jason Allen, Mayor Beach Hall, builder Jerry Fleming, and Publisher Richard Lamb talk over plans in June, 2006. Sen. Allen and the mayor were very helpful in moving the project along.
Jerry Fleming and crew constructed the framework for the new Advance building by July, 2006, five months after the fire.
As new things were added to the building, like drywall and carpeting, the excitement of moving into the new building grew.
A rainbow over the temporary home at J&L Camera and Electronics shone to the new home back at the corner of Third and Erie in Rogers City. Kindness of the community helped the crew stay focused on its task of producing a great weekly newspaper.
Visitors are greeted warmly when they enter the front door at the Advance.
Former publisher Harry Whiteley, whose family owned the publishing operation from 1912 until 1984, inspects the building with current publisher and owner Richard Lamb.
A February 12, 2006 fire destroyed the old Advance building.
