Five injured in two vehicle collision
The Presque Isle County Sheriff?s Department received two 911 calls advising of a two vehicle personal injury accident Wednesday (January 29), that occurred at the intersection of County Road 638 and M-65 in Pulawski Township. Five people, only one from the area, were all treated and released at Alpena General Hospital. According to a sheriff?s department press release, a vehicle driven by Jesse Paul, 21, of Rogers City was eastbound on County Road 638, when he failed to stop at the intersection due to icy conditions.
Paul?s vehicle entered M-65, where it was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Thomas Dazzle, 53, of Cassopolis, Michigan.
Impact caused the Dazell vehicle to leave to roadway, where it came to rest on its side in the ditch. Stephen Checkley, 32, of Cassopolis, Joseph Walker, 47, of Dowagiac, Dazell and Paul, were all transported to Alpena General Hospital by Allied Ambulance.
Another passenger in the Dazell vehicle, Linda Fahn, 49, of Edwardsburg was extricated by the Jaws of Life and transported to AGH by East Grand Lake Ambulance. Also assisting at the scene were Posen Fire Department and First Responders, Presque Isle Township First Responders and Rogers City Fire Department.
