Lady Vikings are regional champions
The Lady Vikings have gone where no other girls’ basketball team from the county has gone before—to the state quarterfinals. After a convincing 56-37 win over Brimley (21-4), the Vikings now face top-ranked Crystal Falls-Forest Park Tuesday at Sault Ste. Marie.
Korynn Hincka, Posen’s all-state center, paced the scoring attack with 28 while senior forward Ashley Meyers added 14. Posen trailed 9-6 after the first quarter but went on a run in the second quarter, powered by great defense. The Vikings led 25-17 at halftime and 43-27 at the end of three quarters.
