Barbara “Barb” Ilene Schaedig
Barbara “Barb” Ilene Schaedig, 76, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home April 29, 2024.
She was born in Rogers City March 31, 1948 to Edward and Elsie (Wirgau) Kortman.
Barb graduated from Rogers City High School in 1966. On August 5, 1988 she married Gene Schaedig at St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; four children, Sheri (Merlee) Kilmer, Amanda (Tom) Doss, Justin Schaedig and Corey Schaedig; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mike (Marie) Kortman and Duane Kortman; and a sister, Darlene (Terry) Elowsky.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edward, Neil and Larry; a godson, Mitch Kortman; and a mother and father-in-law, Agnes and Elmer Schaedig.
Friends may visit at St. John Lutheran Church in Hagensville today (Thursday, May 2) from 10 a.m. through time of her funeral at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church in memory of Barbara Schaedig.
