Larry William Tennant
Larry William Tennant, a cherished husband, father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully July 10, 2025, in Rogers City, at the age of 75, born June 2, 1950, in Cheboygan.
Larry’s journey began as the beloved son of William and Alice Tennant, who preceded him in death, along with his brothers Leslie and Mark Tennant, and his sons John, Bradley and Paul. His legacy continues through his wife, Candace Tennant; his children, Larry Tennant, Matthew (April) Tennant, Victoria (Steve) Klemetti, Doris Rutherford, Billie Jo Mixon and Bobby Tennant; his brothers, William D. Tennant and Michael Tennant; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Professionally, Larry was known for his exceptional skill as a mechanic, a trade that allowed him to combine his love for cars with his artistic talent for pinstriping. His work was not just a job but a passion, one that he pursued with dedication and excellence throughout his career.
Beyond his professional life, Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He was a proud member of the North American Hunting Club, where he shared his enthusiasm for hunting and fishing. His love for creation was only matched by his love for animals, especially horses that he admired with great affection. Larry’s musical talent was evident in the way he played the guitar, a
Larry’s faith was an integral part of his life. As a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Rogers City, where he found strength and peace. His beliefs guided him and provided comfort to those around him, reflecting the deep spiritual connection. He recently rekindled his friendship with his creator. Larry will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held July 19, at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness of Rogers City, 1240 M-68.
