Joann Fellinger
Joann Fellinger loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Joann Fellinger of Washington Township, passed away July 6, 2025, at the age of 68. She was surrounded by family and friends at Corewell Health (William Beaumont Hospital) when she was called to God.
Born in Rogers City November 1, 1956, Joann was the seventh child of the late Watson and Angeline Hentkowski (Chojnacki). Growing up on a farm in Posen, she was raised with a strong sense of family values that she carried with her through her entire life.
Joann was passionate about advocating for her family. She spent much of her time catering to holidays and social functions. She loved organizing gatherings, initiating quality time with relatives and friends. She took great pleasure in spending time at the treasured lake house during the summer months with Tony, her beloved husband and soulmate of 32 years.
A summa cum laude graduate of Walsh College, Joann was a retired senior relationship manager for Mass Mutual Financial Group, forging a reputation as a strong leader and mentor. That admiration and respect was prevalent in every aspect of her life and she was highly regarded by every person she shared a connection with. She chose to be an organ donor, whose donations through Gift of Life will continue to save lives even after her passing.
Joann is survived by her loving husband, Anton Fellinger; daughters, Katy Wojtaszek and Kelly (Josh) Hartley; and granddaughter, Gwendolyn Hartley. One of a family of 11
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Joann’s life at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Metz Saturday, September 13, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. and funeral service to begin at 11 a.m.
