Rosalyn “Rose” Kay Medlock

Rosalyn “Rose” Kay Medlock, 61, of Onaway, died surrounded by family love, Saturday, August 2, 2025.

The daughter of Lawrence Sr. and Helen (South) Eagleson, Rose was born in Onaway October 12, 1963. A bit of a gypsy spirit, she moved often and traveled for many years before returning home to Onaway to settle down. She became a member of Remnant Church of Jesus Christ and had unwavering faith in God that she relied upon for her strength in facing struggles and her declining health.

Rose always referred to herself as a domestic engineer because she took care of her home as well as working in a variety of jobs through the years. She was employed by K-Byte in Gaylord and worked as a sales associate at Walmart. One of Rose’s favorite pastimes was crafting, including making jewelry, sewing, crocheting and painting. An excellent cook, she loved watching cooking shows on television and made the best Swedish meatballs. She was an avid reader and loved music. When Rose heard a favorite song, she would dance or nod her head to the rhythm. Her heart was full of love for her family as well as having a special place in her heart for animals.

Rose leaves her mother, Helen Eagleson of Onaway; brothers, Larry (Debra) Eagleson of Texas, Elvin (Debbie) Eagleson of Indiana, Wayne Eagleson of Texas and Bill Eagleson of Onaway; sister, Lenora Mann of Onaway; Angie (David) Foster of Tower and Christopher Mann or “Crickett” as Rose nicknamed him, of Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Renee Black of Onaway; and adopted siblings, Bonnie (Vernie) Pipes of Ar

kansas, David (Dori) Williams of North Carolina, Bruce Zolman of Atlanta and Greg Zolman of West Virginia.

Rose was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Eagleson Sr.; sisters-in-law, Elaine Eagleson and Nancy Medlock; and adopted siblings, Bonnie Zolman Peters and Gary Zolman.

Rose’s family will receive friends at Remnant Church of Jesus Christ Thursday, August 21, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. The Elder Denise Pauly will officiate. Rose’s final resting place will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tower.
