Christian David Horn

In Loving Memory of Christian David Horn.

Christian “Chris” David Horn, born February 22, 1963, passed away peacefully at home in Florence, Alabama December 1, 2025.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Koss); and his two children, Eric Horn (Shannon) and Katherine Lavigne (Joseph). He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, Charli and Siena Horn, and Marley, Taylor and Christian, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.

The youngest child of Charles and Nancy Horn, Chris grew up in Rogers City, alongside his siblings Mike (Laura) Horn, Mark Horn (Sue Zielaskowski), Tim (Karen) Horn and Kathy (Joseph) Corcoran. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. His father, Charles, preceded him in death.

Chris was a truly gifted woodworker and carpenter. His designs and creations reflected not only his skill but also his deep respect for craftsmanship. Every piece he built carried his hallmark attention to detail and furniture-grade finishes, standing as lasting testaments to his artistry.

Yet Chris’s greatest legacy was not in the furniture he built, but in the life he shaped with his family and friends. He was a loving husband and father, a man whose smile and kind words were constants in the lives of those aro

und him. He never turned his back on anyone, always ready to lend a hand. His loyalty, humility and passion were seamlessly blended with love, compassion and empathy. Together, these qualities formed the foundation of his ever-present positive attitude and his willingness to help others.

“Chris’s life was a gift to all of us. He built more than furniture-he built trust, joy, and connection. His smile was his signature, his kindness his legacy. He showed us that true strength lies in humility, and true love in service. We will carry his spirit with us, in every act of care and every moment of gratitude.

“Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the work of his hands. We look forward with hope and faith to meeting him again.”
