Virginia Smigelski
Virginia Smigelski, 104, of Posen passed away peacefully at Orchard Manor December 2, 2025 with family at her side. The world lost one of its brightest stars that day.

She was born in Posen August 27, 1921 to Anthony and Agnes (Klien) Smolinski.
Virginia was a life-long member of St. Casimir Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and baking but her biggest accomplishment was the way she made each person feel when they came to the farm to visit. She was wise beyond her years. She accepted and loved each person for who they were and saw the beauty in every day of her 104 years. Virginia lived through many hardships, yet her faith never wavered. We are forever grateful for the love she poured into each of us.
She is survived by two sons, James (Lorraine) Smigelski and Jerry (Dawn) Smigelski all of Posen; a son-in-law, Bob Salenski of Haslett; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, August 8, 2006; two daughters, Rose Salenski, January 12, 2017 and Theresa (Ervin “Stork” September 17, 1999) Szczerowski June 1, 2021; siblings, Roman, Wallace, Phillip, Florian, Benjaman, Arthur, Genevieve, Sally, Gertrude and Celia.
Mass took place at St. Casimir Catholic Church December 5.
Memorials may be given to: St. Casimir Catholic Church or Hospice of Michigan.
