Nicholas “Nick” Michael Centala
Nicholas “Nick” Michael Centala, 30, of Metz passed away February 7, 2026 while helping others.

He was born in Alpena to Paul and Lisa (Purol) Centala September 17, 1995.
Nick graduated from Rogers City High School in 2014. He attended Alpena Community College for 1 year while working at ACE Hardware in Rogers City then on to working with Todd’s Plumbing and Heating.
Nick was an all-around great guy who would help anyone who was in need. He enjoyed working at Wilk Farms and Kathy’s Catering.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa; a sister, MaKayla (Alex) Pratt; a grandmother, Kathy Purol; nephews, Asher, Austin and Ryder; nieces, Raelynn, Alivia and Rory; aunts and uncles, Jackie Kowalski, Michelle (Andy) Sullivan, Penny (Wayne) Seiler, Brenda (Tom) Kortman, Kevin (Stacy) Purol, David (Carrie) Purol and Mark Purol; a godchild, Mya Purol; many cousins, extended family, friends, and Jackie and Al Wilk.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Paul; grandparents, Blanche (Florian) Centala and Arthur Purol; great-grandparents, John (Theresa) Purol and Aloysius (Virginia) Nowicki; uncles, Michael Purol, Kenny Kowalski and Toby Kowalski.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home today (Thursday, February 12) from 4-8 p.m. where his friends from the Amish Community will begin evening services with Hymns of Faith at 6 p
Interment will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Posen First Responders, Posen Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
