Sportsman’s Show in Onaway set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Onaway High School
Looking for something to do this weekend? Onaway residents won’t have to look any further than the Onaway High School where the 7th Annual Sportsman’s Show promises a variety of activities for every member of the family. The show runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m, Saturday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday for 20 hours of fun in all.
You don’t have to be a sportsman or sportswoman to enjoy this event. Kammie Dennis, of the Presque Isle County Tourism office, stressed what a great event th eshow is for the area.
“Our focus is to have a quality show,” she said, adding that the show is about the same size as in previous years, but there are a few changes.
The decoy carving competition is back, but this year the IWCA (International Wildfowl Carving Association) is involved, and there will be carvings from as far away as Arizona, California, and Indiana.
