Lawrence “Larry” James Kuznicki
Lawrence “Larry” James Kuznicki, 79, of Posen passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 30, 2023.
He was born February 6, 1944 in Rogers City to Thomas and Mary (Kendzorski) Kuznicki.
Larry had a passion for trapping, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. On April 20, 2001 he married Jana Michele Spangler in Alpena. He was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6657 and of St. Casimir Catholic Church. Larry was also a volunteer fireman in Maple Ridge Township for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele; his daughter, Krystol (Richard) Hoop of South Carolina; his son, Anton Kuznicki-Wolf of Gaylord; a grandson, Aaron R. Hoop; brothers, Gene (Gertie), Ron (Gladys), Dennis (Catherine) and Arthur (Judy); sisters, Marianne Dillon, Suzanne Bilger, Judy (Kenneth) England and Carol Ciarkowski; a sister-in-law, Wendy Kuznicki; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Mark) Spangler-Timm and Julie (Mark) Kapa; brother-in-law, James Spangler Jr.; his fur baby, Ruby; and numerous nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Jeremy (Jennifer) Kuznicki.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas, John and Mark; an infant sister, Sally; brothers-in-law, John Dillon, Roy “Mac” MacInnis and Edward Ciarkowski.
Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church Friday, October 6, from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery at a later time.
Donations may be made to St. Casimir Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus Council 6657.
