Florian Clarence Klien

Florian Clarence Klien, 76, of Posen passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side June 24, 2026 following an extended illness. 

He was born February 28, 1950, in Alpena to Clarence and Cecilia (Hincka) Klien. 

Florian graduated from Posen High School in 1968. He began working for the Presque Isle County Road Commission in 1968, retiring in 2005. On August 12, 1989, he married Barbe Dullack at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Florian was a loving and devoted husband who treasured spending time with his wife Barbe, daughter Jessie, family and friends. The moments he shared with them were among the greatest joys of his life. He enjoyed deer hunting, spending time outside, and he also took great pride in his lawn mowing. He also loved car rides and relaxing with his favorite movies, sports and television shows. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbe; a daughter, Jessica (Charles) Scotto DiClemente; three grandchildren, Pasquale, Maria and Charles Jr.; two sisters, Dolorine Groya and Kathleen Luetzow; a brother-in-law, Charles Decker; and several nieces and nephews. 

Florian was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Cecilia; a sister, Irene Decker; and two brothers-in-law, Gary Luetzow and Ken Groya.

Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church today (Thursday, July 2) where the rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. with visiting until time of his memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Don Geyman officiating. 

Inurnment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery. 

Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the activities department at Medilodge of Rogers City in memory of Florian Klien.
