Downtown events to usher in the season of fall

In celebration of the first weekend of the fall season, two events are on tap in Rogers City. First the Fall Art Walk is set for Friday from 4 -7 p.m. In the past, the event featured crafters, artists, musicians and fun in the downtown area. More of the same is planned for Friday’s event.

Local businesses are encouraged to extend their hours to welcome the crowds that will be moving along the five-block area on Third and Erie streets.

Then on Saturday the fourth annual beer festival celebrates Hops in the Hole. This year the event is set for Westminster Park from 1-5 p.m. The event is for people age 21 or older.

A $25 fee will get you six pours and a souvenir cup. Plans call for many craft beers to taste, great food to eat, live music to enjoy and contests to enter. Rogers City Main Street promotion committee is responsible for planning these events designed to welcome people to the downtown area.
