Miss Posen Pageant set for Friday at PHS

Four young women will participate Friday on the 2003 Miss Posen Pageant. The annual event starts at 7:30 p.m. at Posen Hgh School. One of the Posen seniors will walk away with the crown for Miss Posen 2003 and will reign with her court over the Posen Potato Festival September 5-7.

The evening promises to be filled with talent and excitement, with the new queen being crowned by last year?s Miss Posen 2002, Rebecca Ann Nefske. Rebecca will present the crown Friday evening following judging on congeniality, coordination, poise and appearance, talent, and evening gowns.

Rebecca has fulfilled her one-year commitment serving as Posen?s representative in many activities including last year?s 2002 Posen Potato Festival.

She plans to attend Alpena Community College this fall where she will pursue a career in elementary education. The pageant is under the direction of Paulette Woloszyk including a pageant committee that oversees the choreography, programming, and publicity, as well as a stage crew that handles the audio, spotlights and stage decorations.
