Michael Elsworth Chapman Sr., known as “Mick”, died at home Tuesday May 5, 2015 at the age of 69. The son of Newton Wm. and Helen “Jean” (Fitzpatrick) Chapman, Mick was born in Millersburg November 21, 1945. He

Surviving Mick is his wife of 16 years, Cheryl Chapman of Millersburg; son, Michael Jr. (Ginny) Chapman of Alachua, Florida; stepchildren, Gabe and Amanda Nash (Randy McCavitt), both of Menominee; and two grandchildren, Paul and Charlz. Mick also leaves five brothers, Chad Chapman of Millersburg and Nute (Patricia), Clark (Ruth Ann Eisbrenner), Cal (Denise), and Mark (Cathy), all of Onaway; three sisters, Eva (Terry) Taffe of Onaway, Connie (Jerry) Pilarski of Grand Lake and Cathie (John) Foeller of Rochester; three half-sisters, Arlene Crawford, Joann Wright and Cari Cairnduff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends was held at the Chagnon Funeral Home Friday May 8, 2015 from 4 pm – 6 p.m. The Onaway Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5857 accorded military honors beginning at 6 p.m. followed by a memorial service officiated by Mick’s brother, Chad Chapman.
