Vikings host T-Bolts in volleyball action

The Posen volleyball players will be at home for five of their next seven matches, including tonight against Mio, as they make their way to the post-season tournament at the end of the month. The varsity is coming off a close loss against Hale last Thursday, a match that was narrow as it gets, while the junior varsity sets its sights on a North Star League title. The varsity, 5-3 in the NSL, lost in straight games of 16-14 and 16-14 against the host Eagles.

Following tonight?s home contest against the Thunderbolts, Posen travels to Hillman Monday. A scheduled match against Brimley, which was canceled Monday, has been rescheduled for February 18 at 6 p.m. The junior varsity is now 8-1 after defeating Hale 15-3 and 15-10.

Jill Krajniak had four assists and three aces, while Jackie Szczerowski had five assists, two kills and one ace. Beth Julian had three aces.
