Vikings suffer first defeat of season
The Posen Vikings lost for the first time this season in a 50-14 loss Friday in Posen. The Vikings took the lead in the second quarter, the first time the undefeated Thunderbolts trailed in a game all season.
The score came on a six-yard pass from Matt Ponik to Matt Szczerowski with 4:19 left in the second quarter. Ron Kroll ran in the conversion.
With the score 20-14 in the third quarter, Posen drove the field but fell just short. Kroll was stopped at the one on a fourth down play.
