Hoffmeyer nearing July graduation as Calvary scout

Collin Hoffmeyer, son of Allan and Barbara Hoffmeyer of Onaway, is currently stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Private First Class (PFC) Hoffmeyer began his Army training on March 8. His Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) is 19D Calvary Scout and his initial training consists of a 16-week one-station unit training.

His family was able to witness his completion of phase one of that training on May 20. The Beret-Donning ceremony marked the end of the basic training portion. His Calvary scout training will continue until the July 7 graduation.

Hoffmeyer will then travel to his first duty station. Proud grandparents are Terry and Marion Wregglesworth and Earl and Christine Hoffmeyer, all of Onaway.
