Presque Isle County central dispatch received a 9-1-1 call Thursday at 11:51 a.m. reporting a two-vehicle accident with injuries along M-68 in Moltke Township.

Shari Froelich, 58, of Alpena was eastbound on M-68, and slowed to make a left hand turn into a driveway.

According to a press release from the Presque Isle County sheriff’s office, a second vehicle driven by Frederick Wall, 74, of Gibraltar, attempted to pass and collided with Froelich’s vehicle, sending both vehicles into the ditch.

Froelich was transported to Alpena Regional Medical Center by Allied Ambulance for treatment of her injuries.

Wall had four passengers in his vehicle, but nobody in the vehicle was hurt.

A car ended up in the east-bound ditch after it collided with a truck on M-68 Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff’s department was assisted by the Rogers City Fire Department and Rogers City First Responders.

The accident remains under investigation.
