Condensed Minutes
March 16, 2015
The regular meeting of the Board of Road Commissioners for Presque Isle County was held at the Road Commission office at 657 South Bradley, Rogers City, Michigan. Chairman Ronald Bischer called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.
Board Members Present: Ronald Bischer, Thomas Catalano and Charles Rhode.
Also Present: Supt/Mgr. Smigelski, Clerk Wirgau.
Visitors: One.
Minutes:
A motion was approved to accept minutes from March 2, 2015 meeting as presented.
Ayes: All.
Accounts Payable:
Motion by Rhode (Catalano) to approve the accounts payable in the amount of $85,740.39. Ayes: Bischer, Catalano, Rhode.
Visitor:
Allis Township Supervisor appeared before the Board to discuss maintenance of Allis Township roads.
Supt./Mgr Report:
• Crews are working on frozen culverts in the area.
• A Grade Inspection meeting for the upcoming 489 Bridge reconstruction project was held March 13, 2015. Supt./Mgr will be meeting with several property owners to discuss the project.
• Spring weight restrictions went into effect o
• Snowfall year to date is 79 inches.
• Various operational and personnel topics were discussed.
New Business:
A motion was approved authorizing expenses for Commissioners’ to attend the Annual Commissioners’ Seminar in Traverse City, April 12-14, 2015.
The next meeting dates for the Board of Road Commissioners will be Monday, April 6, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. and Monday, April 20, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
There being no further business it was moved by Catalano (Rhode) to adjourn the meeting at 9:43 a.m.
