Sylvia Louise McQuai

Sylvia Louise McQuaid, 71, of Onaway, died Wednesday August 3, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Wolverine where she had been living. The daughter of Mildred (Smale) Kline, Sylvia was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania August 16, 1944.

Surviving Sylvia are two sons, Bucky (Sue) McQuaid and Shawn McQuaid, both of Onaway; daughter and caregiver, Shannon (Dwayne) Gagnon of Wolverine; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Butch Rehm of Texas; sister, Linda Rehm of Pennsylvania; close friend and caregiver, Pam Parrott of Cheboygan; and many friends, including her wonderful hospice nurses, Justine and Diane.

Cremation arrangements are in care of the Chagnon Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Lynn Street Manor, 4255 South Lynn St., Onaway Saturday, August 13, at 1 p.m. with the Elder Thelma Curtis officiating.
