Gerald Frank Kamyszek

Gerald Frank Kamyszek, 62, of Clio, died Sunday, January 1, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial took place Saturday, January 7, at Ss. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. The Rev. Kenneth Coughlin  officiated with cremation following.

Gerald’s family was present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris where they received friends Friday. On Friday evening, family, friends and parish gathered at the funeral home to pray. On Saturday morning, Gerald was taken to church to lie in state.

Gerald was born November 29, 1954, in Rogers City, the son of the late Anthony and Lucille (Pilarski) Kamyszek.

He graduated from Posen High School, Class of 1973. Throughout his life he worked as an autobody repair man, receiving his autobody master technican. In his free time, Gerald enjoyed

spending time with his family and friends, riding his snowmobile, hunting, fishing and gardening. He liked restoring cars and going to car shows. Gerald was a father figure to many family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory, wife, Norma; three children, Stacy (Nathan) Atwell, Chad Kamyszek and Meleanie (Paul Jr.) Zaucha; two grandchildren, Jacob Ward and Payton Zaucha; five brothers and sisters, Anthony (Bernice) Kamyszek, Agnes (Norbert) Woloszyk, Mary (Daniel) Stoinski, Wanda (Donald) Filarski and Mikel (Joanne) Kamyszek.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Hank Kamyszek.
