Richard G. Allan

Richard G. Allan, “Dick”, 75, of Onaway, died at home Wednesday, January 18, 2017.  The son of John Thomas and Donna Shirley (Siddle) Allan, Dick was born May 23, 1941 at home in Forest Township.

Born and raised in Onaway, Dick eventually moved to Whitmore Lake where he lived for many years and worked at Hoover Universal Foam Division making seat cushions for automobiles.  Dick’s heart was always in Onaway so when he retired in 2003, he moved back “home” to Forest Township. An avid hunter and fisherman, Dick loved northern Michigan and spending time in the woods. He also was a skilled woodworker and loved animals.  A fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor, Dick was well-liked.  He lived life to the fullest and loved his family and friends dearly.
