Louis “John” Carnali

Louis “John” Carnali, 77, of Florida and Rogers City passed away June 23, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan after a long battle with cancer.

John was born August 3, 1939 in Detroit to the late Luigi and Rose (Santia) Carnali.

He served in the United States Army in the early 1960s and spent those years stationed in Germany. After 30 years of employment with Chrysler Corporation as a wood patternmaker, he retired and moved to Florida. His love for Rogers City brought him here for the summer. John was an avid boater on the Great Lakes for 20 years and served as commander of the Anchor Bay Power Squadron in Algonac.

He loved music and was a talented saxophone player by the age of 16. After outgrowing the sax he turned his love of music to the guitar or any other instrument available.
