Aloysius “Al” Nowicki
Aloysius “Al” Nowicki, 90, of Posen passed away peacefully at home January 21, 2018.
He was born April 3, 1927 in Pulawski Township to Walter and Agnes (Pilarski) Nowicki.
Al is survived by his wife, Virginia; six children, Kathy (Paul Blaski) Purol of Posen, Jean (Richard) Davis of Hillman, Richard (Shirley) Nowicki of Cheboygan, Eileen (Norman) Brege of Rogers City, Rita (Richard) Brege of Rogers City and Charles Nowicki of Minnetonka, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alphonse (Marjorie) Nowicki of Rogers City; two sisters, Geraldine Orban of Long Rapids and Maryann Sytek of Burton; three sisters-in-law, Alfreda, Darlene Nowicki and Louise (Bob) Modrzynski; three brothers-in-law, Edward Jaracz, Julian (Chris) Jaracz and Joseph Lachowski.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Visitation will resume today (Thursday) at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. with his grandson, the Rev. Aaron Nowicki officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Catholic Church or McLaren Hospice of the Sunrise Shore, Alpena in memory of Aloysius Nowicki.
