Harry Schwiesow

Harry Schwiesow, 82, of Belknap Township passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side January 13.

He was born August 11, 1935 in Belknap Township to Richard and Lucia (Dost) Schweisow.

Harry served in the United States Army from 1958 through 1960. On February 11, 1961 he married Joyce Grulke at St. Michael Lutheran Church. He was life member, held many offices and rang the bells at St. Michael Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming, repairing vehicles and farm equipment, playing his guitar, but most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children; Melinda (Alan) Hincka of Belknap, Roy (Shelby) Schwiesow of Hawks and Darren (Monica) Schwiesow of Gaylord; seven grandchildren; Lucas (Brandi) LaCross, Brittany (Will) Hincka,?Levi (Simone) Hincka, Samantha (Dustin) Price, Courtney (fiancé Jake) Taskey, Geoffrey Schwiesow and?Joshua Schwiesow; two great granddaughters; Emma Price and Allison Price.

Harry was preceded in death by a grandson, Derick; parents, Richard and Lucia; three brothers, Frank, Richard, and Fred Sr.; and a sister, Irene Fleming.

uesday, January 16 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday at St. Michael Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Schneider officiating. Posen VFW will accord Military Honors immediately following church services.

Burial will take place in the spring at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.?Memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church or McLaren Hospice in memory of Harry Schwiesow.
