Duane Joseph Gorlewski
Duane Joseph Gorlewski, 53, of Bay City passed away December 4, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region.
He was born August 20, 1965 in Rogers City to Julian and Mayvine (Orban) Gorlewski.
Duane graduated from Rogers City High School in 1983 then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University. He enjoyed deer hunting, watching the Detroit Redwings, University of Michigan sports, and was an avid toy and baseball card collector.
He is survived by his parents, Julian and Mayvine of Bay City; a sister, Dawn Swinehart of Allegan; a brother, Kevin (Debbie) of Shelby Township; three nephews, Mason, Cameron and Nolan; and two nieces, Tyla and Kaitlyn.
Duane was preceded in death by grandparents, Stanley and Bridgitt Gorlewski and Leo and Celia Orban.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home Thursday, December 6, from 4-8 p.m. with the parish wake that evening. Visitation resumed Friday at St. Dominic Catholic Church until time of Mass with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of Duane Gorlewski to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Dominic Catholic Church.
