UPDATED APRIL 11: Second positive result comes in for county Thursday

UPDATED APRIL 11–A second confirmed case of COVID-19 has been reported. According to Cathy Goike of District Health Department No. 4 (DHD4), the latest case is an adult male living in Presque Isle County. As of 4 p.m. Friday, April 10, 25 test have yielded 17 negative results for the virus with the results from six tests pending.

The four-county region served by DHD 4 has Cheboygan County leading the wya with 10 positive tests and the only reported death in the region caused by the virus. Alpena and Montmorency counties still do not have any reported cases, according to DHD4. A total of 197 tests for the virus have been administered in the four-county area with 12 positive results. Tests for 40 are still awaiting results.

As is the policy of DHD4, no name or address of the person has been released.
