Jean Eillen Rodewald Moeller

On May 19, 2020 Jean Eillen Rodewald Moeller, our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home by the Lord Jesus at the age of 92.  

Jean was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Detroit during the depression.  There she attended MacKenzie High School and Wayne State University.  She married Jack (John W.) Moeller in 1946.  

They moved to Rogers City in 1956, raised four children, were active in the community, and enjoyed northern Michigan life. 

Jean relocated to Ann Arbor after her husband’s death. 

Since relocating, Jean has been a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  She participated in various events and volunteered at the church school. Jean enjoyed attending concerts, square dancing, golf, reading, needlepoint and family gatherings.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Jack (1993); her daughter, Debra (2005); and her brother, Robert Rodewald (2009).  

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Beissel and Kathleen Dickerson (Norman); and her son, John (Fawn). Jean’s grandchildren are James Beissel (Lana), Paul Dickerson (Pamela), Jessical Turner (Chris), Joshua Moeller (Jill), Matthew Beissel (Julie) and Steven Dickerson (Leigh-Ann).  She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren, Jack, Sarah, Eva, Kenneth and Theodore; as well as several nieces and nephews.

An interment service will be held at Presque Isle Township Cemetery, Grand Lake.
