Paul Allen Grant

Paul Allen Grant, 60, recently passed away at his home in Grand Rapids. Born near Monroe October 7, 1959, he spent most of his life in the northern Michigan communities of Rogers City and Harbor Springs, where he worked in the family businesses, Big North Decorating and Grant Interiors.

 Paul is survived by his mother, Joan Grant; siblings, Mark Grant, Terry Grant, Alice (Gene) Meldrum and Ruth (Dave) Monte; and his six nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Wesley Grant. 

He graduated from Rogers City High School in 1978 and attended Ferris State and Michigan State universities. In life, Paul was dedicated to his family.

He worked diligently alongside his parents to help establish both businesses and operate Grant Interiors after his mother’s retirement.  

His summer days were often spent entertaining his nieces and nephews, towing them around Lake May with his boat. 

Paul was always ready to have fun or tease the people he loved. His family and many friends will always hold close the memories of days and evenings spent in laughter with him.  

A private memorial will be held in the spring of 2021.  The Grant family requests any remembrance of Paul’s life could be given to the Presque Isle County Historical Museum Endowment Fund, managed by the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan.
