Born May 3, 1944, in Flint. Molly often traveled to Presque Isle to visit relatives and it was there that she met husband-to-be in 1964. A year later they were married at St. Clair de Montefalco Catholic Church in Detroit.

After spending four years in Sault Ste. Marie, they moved to Rogers City, Mt. Pleasant, and Lake City before settling in Gaylord in 1974. Here she worked at Glen’s Market, Georgia Pacific, and in 1996 went to work at the Gaylord High School. Molly had found her calling as a paraprofessional in the vocational program. An opportunity to work one-on-one with students allowed her to utilize two of her many strengths; patience and a willingness to listen.

A magician in the kitchen, she prepared countless superb meals for family and friends. She loved time with her family, gardening, travel, an occasional trip to the casino, and spending time at their Lake Superior cottage.

Molly is survived by her husband, John, of 56 years; sons, John III, Tim and Pat; three daughters-in-law; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters.

The family Celebration of Life will be private.

Memorials should be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, P.O. Box 1548, Gaylord, MI 49734.
