Lillian Mae DeRosia

Lillian Mae DeRosia, 91, of Cheboygan, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, October 10, 2021.  She was the beloved daughter of Beatrice and Cloid Harrison, born March 4, 1930 in Hobart, Indiana. She was raised in Onaway and was baptized into the Latter Day Saints Church (Community of Christ).

 Lillian was a registered nurse and worked at Bay City hospital in Bay City and at St. Lawrence Hospital and Dr. Roland Kalmbach’s office in Lansing. She ended her career as an registered nurse taking care of the elderly at Beverly Enterprises. After her retirement, Lillian, and her husband, Ken moved to Cheboygan

where she spent her remaining years on Long Lake in Cheboygan. Lillian is survived by three sons, Kenneth DeRosia (Kathy Milbocker) and Roger (Linda) DeRosia, daughter-in-law Vicky DeRosia and Bruce (Patty) DeRosia; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Donnaleen (Butch) Smith.

 Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth DeRosia; a son, Douglas DeRosia; grandsons, Scott and Joshua DeRosia; and her siblings, Shirley Hardy, Ruth Price, Kay Florindi, Penny Branscomb, and Don, Clarence, Arthur, Cloid Jr. and Garry Harrison.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Millersburg Saturday, October 16, at 1 p.m. with the Priest Marcia Pauly officiating. Lillian’s family is limiting the service to just members of the family. Cremation arrangements were in care of Chagnon Funeral Home.
