Teresa Blackman

Teresa Blackman, 81, of Grand Lake passed away at home January 26, 2022.

She was born June 10, 1940 in Coventry, England to Charles and Mary (Galea) Miller.

Teresa graduated from Western High School in Detroit in 1958.

On February 21, 1959 she married Joseph Blackman in Detroit.

They moved to Grand Lake in 1989. She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching and collecting everything “elephant.”

She is survived by three children, Anna (Mark) Stapleton of Canton, Veronica (Bill) Tait of Long Lake and Christopher Blackman of Grand Lake; a grandson, Steven Stapleton; siblings, Freddie (Zona) Mill

er of Taylor, Lawrence (Mary Beth) Miller of Farmington, Michael Miller of Tucson, Arizona, Marie (Gary) Forbes of Oxnard, California and Mark (Mary Lou) Miller of South Haven.

Teresa was preceded in death by husband, Joseph in 1994; and a daughter, Annette in 1997; and a grandson, Andrew Stapleton in 2012. 

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home today (Thursday, February 3) from 4 p.m. through time of her memorial service at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Huron Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
