James “Jim” Lee Valentin
James “Jim” Lee Valentin, 84, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home June 7, 2022.
He was born July 18, 1937 in Rogers City to Joseph and Josie (Shutes) Valentin.
Jim graduated from Rogers City High School in 1955. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University. He enjoyed hunting on the family property and spending time with family at Lost Lake.
He is survived by seven children, Joe Valentin, Jon (Karen) Valentin of Slocomb, Alabama, Jim Valentin of Linden, Virginia, Jeff (Stephanie) Valentin of Daphne, Alabama, Jerry (Tammy) Valentin of Destin, Florida, Joanne (George) Sobeck of Rogers City and Jeanne (Kevin) Miller of Wilmington, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Valentin of Marlette.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josie; and his wife, Pat.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
