Diane Kaye Wagner

Diane Kaye Wagner, 85, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Rogers City January 5, 2024.

She was born June 1, 1938 in Hawks to Arthur and Florence (Mueller) McLennan.

Diane graduated from Rogers City High School in 1956. On June 30, 1956 she married Donald Wagner at St. John Lutheran Church. Diane worked at the Rogers City Hospital and Extended Care for many years. Diane also served the community as an EMT. She had a great love for children, all children. Diane assisted with preschool at St. John Lutheran School for many years and was also an active member at St. John Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and choir. She enjoyed baking pies and was known for her pie crust. She loved all of the holidays.

She is survived by five children, Kim (Jerry) Yarch of Rogers City, Jeff (Sandy) Wagner of Traverse City, Natalie Zempel of Rogers City, Darren (Brenda) Wagner of Indiana and Scott (Fran) Wagner of Macomb Township; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marie Schelley of Glennie; and a brother-in-law, Elroy Bade.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2012; a granddaughter, Chelsea Wagner in 2018; her sister, Valerie Bade in 2020; and a son-in-law, Ralph Zempel in 2018.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home Friday, January 12 from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial service at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the San Luis Rey room.

Inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in memory of Diane Wagner to St. John Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan.
