Kathleen Grace Bellmore

Kathleen Grace Bellmore , 71, of Bellaire went to be with her Lord and Savior December 28, 2023, wrapped in His grace and surrounded by her family. God’s grace has been leading Kathy throughout her life. She was born to Norene and William Martin November 11, 1952, in Traverse City.

    Married to L Paul Bellmore December 29, 1973, the most wonderful day of their lives and blessed with three loved children, two gracious daughters-in-law, six glorious granddaughters and a great-grandson – daughter: Rebecca Ann Bellmore and two sons: Andrew Paul with Amy – Emelia, Alexis, and Gracelyn, David Jon with Courtney – Korine, Nick Moody, Jackson, Chloe, Madelyn Grace; two amazing sisters, Judith Jopling of Devine, Texas (William-Tanya, Megan, Brandon) and Patricia Martin of Grand Rapids; four Special Stebner cousins, who all celebrated summer at grandma’s – Sportsman Paradise, M22, Leelanau County; and her super Canadian cousin and prayer warrior Susie (Jim Benner). Through marriage she was openly accepted into the Pete and Yuldine Bellmore family of Rogers City, with two sisters, Janelle (Ralph) Santini, Mary (Jerry) Krueger and two brothers Ken (Kaye) and John (April), along with many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with special, special friends who know who they are.

ity, Mansfield, Texas and retiring as a reading specialist from St. John Public Schools in 2014. She and Paul loved to travel and in 2018, just got home from the ultimate road trip to six western National Parks before being diagnosed with glioblastoma, a terminal brain tumor. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, of DeWitt and Bellaire.

   A Christian burial was held at Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire, Tuesday, January 2.  In lieu of flowers Kathy’s wish was to have donations sent to U of M Neurology Oncology Clinic, Ann Arbor, MI victors.us/kathleengbellmore or Matt (734) 764-6777.
