Vikings, Cards advance to district finals

Both Onaway and Posen will be playing in the boys’ basketball district finals Friday, but at different venues. The Cardinals defeated Northern Michigan Christian 81-46 Wednesday in Rogers City and will return there Friday to play Inland Lakes at 6 p.m.

Posen advanced to the district finals to play Hillman Friday at 7 p.m. The Vikings earned a 41-32 win over the Hale Eagles Wednesday in Hillman to earn a spot in the finals. Logan Time and 15 points and Jack Romel added nine for the Vikings.

The foe will be the hosts, who trailed at halftime to Mio but came back to notch a 59-46 win.
