Steven “Steve” Robert Hein
Steven “Steve” Robert Hein, 68, of Midland, passed away March 10, 2024 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, as the result of a stroke.
Steve was born to Bob and Norma Hein April 26, 1955, in Rogers City. He attended St. John Lutheran School and graduated from Rogers City High School in 1973.
Steve married Christy Jo Mikiten who preceded him in death in 2012.
Steve is survived by his sisters, Nonnie (Rick) Bannasch of Presque Isle and Carol (Paul) Creger of Springport; and brothers, Paul (Jean) Hein of Ludington and Jeff Hein of Rogers City.
Also surviving are his stepchildren, Peter Mikiten, Theresa Mikiten and Tyler Bonner all of Kentucky; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held for Steve at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to a local animal shelter in Steve’s memory. Ware Smith Woolever was entrusted with the care of Steven Robert Hein.
