William “Bill” Dean Fay
William “Bill” Dean Fay, 78, of Presque Isle, passed away Monday evening March 4, 2024, at McLaren Northern Michigan hospital in Petoskey.
The son of Clifford and Alyce (Bilsland) Fay was born in Sheldon, Iowa August 15, 1945. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army.
Bill spent the majority of his life working, after retiring he moved to Presque Isle in 2005.
Very much enjoying his last 20 years in northern Michigan being involved in the community and making new friends. Bill enjoyed bowling, cards of all kinds, casinos and writing poetry. He was the treasurer of the Presque Isle Community Men’s Club, on the zoning board of appeals, worked for the township during voting, and was past president of the Presque Isle Harbor Bowling League.
Surviving is a brother, Dennis; a sister, Sharon (Ken) Alexander; four nephews, Brad, Jody, Brian and Jon; and a niece Sonia; many great-nephews and nieces; also great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew.
