Barbara “Barb” J. Ardini

Barbara “Barb” J. Ardini, 84, passed away July 25, 2024 surrounded by family at MyMichigan Medical Center of Alpena.

Barb brought light into everyone’s life, strangers, friends and family. Barb was devoted to her faith.

Barb was born July 6, 1940, in West Virginia to Robert and Maxine Baier. After Barbara graduated from Cheboygan High School, she went on to study nursing in Grand Rapids.

Barb was lucky to have two wonderful marriages. She married Arthur “Art” Fuhrman in January 1963 who died on the Cedarville in 1965.  In 1966 she met Peter Ardini and they were married in July of that year.

Barb loved golf, sunrises, sunsets, reading and socializing with friends and family. She loved her Cottage on Grand Lake. Every weekend she would pack up her kids and they would spend time playing in the water and relaxing. This continued with her grandchildren. She loved to take pictures and explore different lighthouses.

Barb will be missed by her husband, Peter Ardini; her loving children, James (Jill) Fuhrman, June (Dan) Diediker, Deb (Chris) Paul and Peter Ardini; her sister, Kate (Chris); her brother, Tom (Kayleen); her grandchildren, Chelsea (Nick), Paul (Sasha), Car (Alyssa), Ryan, Rachel, Jenna, Matthew

(Megan) and Sidney (Dan); and her great-grandchildren, Kane, Kassidy and Liljan.

Barb was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Maxine; her first husband, Art Fuhrman; her brothers, Michael, John and Teddy Baier; her sisters, Pat and Mackey; daughter-in-law, Michele Ardini; and her grandson Kyle Ardini.
