Nancy Lee Looper

Nancy Lee Looper, 77, of Rogers City passed away at home March 28, 2025. 

She was born October 25, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington to parents Robert Wahl and Lila Nicholas. 

“Have you ever heard the saying, ‘Dynamite comes in small packages?’ Well, that expression was written for our Mother, Nancy. Whether she loved you or hated you, I can guarantee all who have met her will certainly never forget her. She left a vivid impression on those who crossed her path.” 

She is survived by three children, Dale Looper Jr. of Alpena, Jan Kirkendoll of Alpena and Julie (Jamie) Heinzel of Rogers City; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Robin) McCoy of Raleigh, North Carolina, a brother, Merwin (Robin) McCoy of Fort Walton Beach, Flor

ida, and a brother, Nicholas (Evelyn) McCoy of Fresno, California; three sisters she had not yet met but recently connected with, Lynda DellaSantina of Seattle, Washington, Lori Aquilina of Long Beach, Washington and Bonnie Jervis of Portland, Oregon; and a stepbrother, Bobbie Wahl of Tacoma, Washington. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lila; two brothers, Michael McCoy and Cory McCoy; a sister, Susan Davidson; and her youngest son, David Looper.
