Kathryn Dorothy Ferguson

Kathryn Dorothy Ferguson, 87, of Hawks passed away at MyMichigan Health Center in Alpena May 1, 2025. 

She was born in Glendale, California to Theodore and Kathryn (Bailey) Woolsey May 2, 1937. 

Kathryn graduated from Eagle Rock High School then went on to earn her licensed practical nursing license from Boise State University. On May 16, 1987 she married Jack D. Ferguson at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Boise. She was a professional ballerina and was a mezzo soprano singer with Boise Master Chorale and Opera Idaho. Kathryn also was a talented landscape artist. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and poodles. 

She is survived by her husband, Jack; five children, Erin (Chris) Williams, Kevin (Heather) Sullivan, Craig (Brenda) Sullivan, John (Lori) Ferguson and Jennifer (Red) Robinson; and five grandchildren, Geoff Williams, Braeden Sullivan, I

an Sullivan, Jordyn Robinson and Ty Robinson. 

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Kathryn; a brother, Theodore Jr.; and an infant son, Craig. 

Friends may visit at Faith Lutheran Church in Hawks Wednesday, May 14, from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial service at 11 a.m. with her husband, the Rev. Dr. Jack D. Ferguson officiating. 

Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or a Humane Society of your choice.
