Kenneth William Schroeder

Kenneth William Schroeder, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior May 9, 2026. 

He was born in Rock Island, Illinois to the late Hans Arnold and Mary Ann “Marie” nee Harsha Schroeder August 6, 1940. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lenita May Schroeder; a bother, Arnold Schroeder; sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Schroeder and Ikuko Schroder; a brother-in-law, Lee Fredrick Schroder; and a son-in-law, Joel Lee Tuft. 

After high school he attended Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska. Kenneth served Mt. Calvary in Denver, Colorado; Grace Lutheran in Key West, Florida; Bethlehem Lutheran in Chicago, Illinois; St. Luke Lutheran in Cabot, Pennsylvania; North Valley Lutheran in Mission Hills, Faith Lutheran and Good Shepherd Lutheran in Inglewood, California; St. Paul Lutheran in Luxemburg, Wisconsin; and St. John Lutheran in Rogers City. Since retirement, Kenneth has been substituting for Rogers City and Alpena schools. 

He met his wife Lenita in Miami, F

loridia, and they were married in Miami, Floridia August 7, 1965. They were blessed with one daughter, Teresa Marie Tuft; one grandson, Raymond Wayne Tuft; a sister, Ethel (John) Beyer; half-brother, Timothy (Darla) Schroeder; brothers-in-law, John Schroder, Keith (Linda) Schroder, Mark (Teresa) Schroder; and many nieces and nephews. 

Friends may visit at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City Friday, May 29, from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Bangert officiating.
