Norman “Norm” Frank Pieczynski

Norman “Norm” Frank Pieczynski, 87, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home April 29, 2026. 

He was born October 10, 1938 in Posen to Joseph and Adeline (Krawczak) Pieczynski. 

Norm was a 1957 graduate of Posen High School. He worked for General Telephone before serving in the United States Army from 1961 through 1964. When he returned home, he went to work for GTE and retired at the age of 46. Following his retirement, he started General Rental Center in Durham, North Carolina then retired and moved back to Michigan in 2019. Norm enjoyed fishing. 

He is survived by three sons, Mike (Linda), Jeff (Carol) and Brian; one grandson, Tom; three granddaughte

rs, Stacy, Megan and Amber (Brian); two great-grandsons; and five siblings, Marvin, Lorraine (Al) Orban, Shirley Lynn, Adelore (Beverly) and Gary (Lori). 

Norm was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and a daughter-in-law, Loretta. 

Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church Friday, August 21, from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Don Geyman officiating. 

Inurnment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
