Ruth L. Altman

Ruth L. Altman, 95, of Rogers City passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 19, 2026. 

She was born in Moltke to Arthur and Hattie (Wiesegart) Schultz June 6, 1931. 

Ruth enjoyed many activities including spending time outdoors. 

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Lijewski and Jani

ce (John) Brown; two stepchildren, Barbara (Larry) Budnik and Larry (Susan) Altman; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Esther Nichols; and a sister-in-law, Dawnette. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; four brothers, Harold, Philip, Martin and Leonard; a sister, Harriette; and a son-in-law, Edward Lijewski. 

Her graveside service was Monday, August 24, at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Dueker conducting.
