Nancy Elizabeth Zelenak
Nancy Elizabeth Zelenak, 75, of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home with her siblings at her side September 3, 2026.
She was born in Detroit May 1, 1951, to Rowland and Frances (Wesolowski) Kotwica.
Nancy was an excellent seamstress who had her own store on Etsy, Northwoodswhimz, where she sold her handmade bags and machine embroidered items. Nancy made the most delicious Christmas cookies and for the last 53 years, loved giving them to family and special friends to brighten their holidays. She was a hardworking person who enjoyed relaxing while watching football and golf on television. Nancy was lovingly teased for having her dad’s “grass gene,” as she watched golf just to admire the lush fairways! Most of all, she loved being Gramma to Lexi and Trevs.
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Jullette (Robert Lane); two grandchildren, Alexis and Trevor; a brother, James Kotwica; a sister and best friend, Pegi Kotwica; a stepdaughter, Shelley Zelenak; and her faithful four legged companion, Prince Charming.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Rowland and Frances; an infant sister, Mary Frances; and her husband, Richard.
