Nancy M. Porter

Nancy M. Porter (affectionately referred to as “Badness”), 71, of Onaway passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 21, 2020.

Nancy was born December 1, 1949 in Detroit. Nancy was the daughter of Tony and Dorothy Kelner (Stafford) of Onaway. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; and her brother, Tom (Joyce) Kelner.

She is survived by her children, Tim (Jenn) Porter, Mike Porter and Cara (Marty) Enos; grandchildren, Chelsea (Roger) Foster, Hannah Enos, Elliana Enos, Alaina Porter and Reid Porter; a great-grandson, Lincoln Foster; and wonderful sisters, Karen (Rick) Bickman, Carol Perkins and Janet Stranaly.

Nancy was an amazing woman who loved her family and friends dearly. She spent hours writing letters and cards for all occasions to many. She was an artist

and enjoyed creating in many ways including painting and picking rocks and seashells on beaches from Michigan to Florida. She was a Christian woman who loved the Lord and joyfully attended Black River Full Gospel Church in Cheboygan, led by the Rev. James Seaman, who was a close and personal friend for many years from youth into adulthood. She enjoyed playing cards, Scrabble, watching movies and being around her family and friends. She especially enjoyed endless hours with her closest sister, Janet Stranaly. Her past three years were spent happily with the greatest man she could have ever asked for, Gary Hansel.
