Richard A. Micketti

Richard A. Micketti died December 27, 2020 in New Jersey. He was a son, a brother, a cousin, a nephew, a husband and a friend. Above all he was and remains Richard. He enjoyed life. He had a spark in him that was hard to suppress. He had a way with words that challenged people to think. He loved, too. He loved life, his family and most of all he loved Phyllis.

Richard was born in Rogers City November 11, 1956, the son of Joseph and Helen Grace (Zgorski) Micketti. He thought the federal holiday of November 11 was because of his birthday. He met Phyllis Blazevic, the love of his life, at Central Michigan University. They were married in Riverview August 27, 1982. They moved to New Jersey in 1985. He worked in the wine industry for over 40 years starting in Traverse City. He worked for North East Wine in New Jersey. He had a deep love of music with a particular passion for jazz. While in college he played percussion in several ensembles. He enjoyed live jazz music at festivals and at various venues.
